Our Firm’s History
On Jan. 1, 1984, attorneys Lawrence E. Corbridge, John K. Baird and James L. Christensen formed Corbridge Baird & Christensen, a business law firm that focused on commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, collections, business formations and real property law. Over the years, Corbridge Baird & Christensen gained a reputation for providing excellent and affordable legal services with the highest degree of integrity. Richard C. Terry joined the firm in 1984 and became a partner in 1988.
In 1994, the firm moved its offices to the historic stock and mining exchange building, located in downtown Salt Lake City, at 39 Exchange Place, Suite 100, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84111. Christopher G. Jessop and Kenneth M. Bitner joined the firm in 1999 and 2001, respectively. In time, the founding attorneys accepted high-level business and ecclesiastical assignments.
Thus, the name of the firm was changed to Terry Jessop & Bitner on July 1, 2009. The firm moved 50 yards to the west, to the historic Felt Building, in the spring of 2013. The firm’s offices are ideally situated half a block north of Utah’s largest state courthouse, and half a block east of the United States District Court for the District of Utah in downtown Salt Lake City.
