Doug is a Utah native, licensed to practice in Utah and Idaho. Doug received his Bachelor of Science from Weber State University, graduating cum laude, and a Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law where he was inducted into the national honor society Alpha Sigma Nu. After graduation, Doug practiced for nearly two years in northern Idaho, gaining experience in the areas of business litigation, estate planning and corporate formation and governance. After practicing law for several years, Doug decided he wanted more education to better serve our business and estate planning clients, and went back to school earning an LL.M. degree in taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law. His practice continues to focus in the areas of estate planning, business litigation and transactions, as well as banking, real estate, employment and collections matters. Doug is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Idaho and Utah.

Prior to law school, Doug spent 10 years in retail management, which has provided him with a greater understanding of the matters facing business owners. In addition to securing numerous favorable judgments in the trial courts, Doug has had two cases appealed to the Utah Court of Appeals, both of which he successfully argued resulting in the affirmation of the trial court's rulings.

Doug is married and has three active sons and a little girl who has him wrapped around her finger, who provide him with great joy and lots of exercise. He enjoys golf, camping, fishing, serving in his church, and BYU Football. As an Eagle Scout he also enjoys participating with his sons in scouting activities.
